A Newspaper Collage Story

Son of Umbele by Bill Marshall is an African drama set in village by the sea. It's inhabitants are fisher men and fishmongers. The mask at the centre of the artwork represents the main character, Joshua carries around with him a mask that ties in with his identity.

The images of coconut trees , huts, the sea waves, fish , canoe and rope reinforce the sfishing village setting
